A Swivel Face Brace is used on the elevation or face of the scaffold to "lock" the Standards and Ledgers into a rigid bay.

They also remove any "sway" in the scaffold.

For house building it is good practice to have one brace on every fourth bay and zig-zag up the face of the scaffold.

0.795m Ledgers are used to tie the uprights/standards to Handrail Posts fitted to hop-up brackets, used in pairs to form a double handrail. 

These ledgers are for use on 3 Board Hop-Up Brackets ONLY - with either timber boards or Omega battens.

Used as a safety trap door, a ladder access transom is used on the scaffold to form a " hole / opening " that a worker can climb through. The safety trapdoor is held in place by adjustable clamps held against the toeboards.

Swan Neck Standards are used for upright support when an Access Safety Gate is required.

They are connected to two ledgers and then form an intermediate standard for two shorter ledgers to form a double handrail.

New Ladder Access Kit

Used where a ladder access c/w safety gate is required in a 2.5m Cuplok bay.

The standard 2 nos 2.5m ledger handrails are replaced with 2 nos 1.8m ledgers, one of the 2.5m ledgers being used to locate the swan neck standard on the lugs on the lift below the deck height.

The above only applies to Cuplok Scaffold where Intermediate Transoms are being used.

For use with Omega Transoms/Battens

If you require access to the end of a bay and are using Omega battens you will need to cut a slot in the outside lip of the Omega Transom to accomodate the tube from the Swan Neck Standard, Please Note that if you cut the tray on the Omega Transom it should NOT be used for any other application.

In both cases you will also require a tube/bracket to secure the ladder at 90 degrees to the scaffold.

The Cuplok staircase is used for access to different deck levels within a scaffold.

The staircase unit fits between the ledger on the bottom lift and the ledger on the upper lift.

The staircase units DO NOT fit onto the Omega system transoms.

Handrails are obtained using standard swivel face braces, an additional handrail support can be added to form a return handrail where needed.
