Friction Clamps

New Friction Clamps, as manufactured by GKN Kwikform, we are now able to offer these to the original GKN Spec.

We are proud to say we have supplied most major scaffold & oil companies with Friction Clamps for fabrication and refurbishment.

We have recently supplied OGN Group with a large quantity of Friction Clamps for the Bridge Link Project to the Forties Alpha Platform.

Other valued customers include:  Cape UK, Cape Australia, Hertel, BIS Chevron Nigeria etc along with most other offshore scaffold companies.       

The friction clamps we supply are the only ones available which are manufactured to the original GKN drawings, by our associate engineering company who are I.S.O. 9001:2008 approved. The body of the friction clamp is inspected by an independent testing house, the scaffolding components are manufactured by Presco UK and the High Tensile Chain is certified and marked accordingly. Copies of test certificates are available on request.

We stock the assembled bodies, chains are then added to these, giving exstock availability for any length/pipe diameter, depending on quantity.

To calculate the length of chain required on a friction clamp see below:

Pipe dia x 3.14 x 2 = min chain length

Example:For a pipe diameter of 2.5m

2.5m x 3.14 x 2 = 15.7m

We would recommend a chain length of 16.0m
