System Scaffold Training - What you need to know - Kwikstage or Cuplok
You should have yourself and two others trained properly to design, erect inspect and strike the scaffold, this is what is deemed the minimum requirements under the Work @ Height Regulations and would be a requirement of your indemnity Insurance, it may even result in a reduction in your premium.
The course is delivered at our venue (subject to conditions) and is 5 days duration, 4 days with our Instructor and the. 5th day is a skills assessment, successful completion leads to a Certificate as a Competent Basic Kwikstage/Cuplok Erector, upto Max working platform height of 6mtrs, this could include a table lift on a bungalow gable end design.
Whats included in the course:
Safe erection procedure
Preventing falls following SG4:15 (use of PFPE) Harness & Fall Arrest Lanyards)
Before and during use Inspection & Recording (mandatory)
Safe Use - Ensuring Stability, Bracing, Tying & Loading (SWL and platform loadings)
The cost for the course is £ 3000 plus VAT
You are welcome to come over to our facility in Immingham for the training, we have a special venue/equipment hire deal of £600:00 plus VAT for the week inc dedicated training room, refreshments, use of all the scaffold components for the week and a set of 8 ready made “steps” these are a requirement for the training and you take these away with you for future use. (This is a very cost effective way of getting the training done before you buy any kit, and not purchasing more than you actually need, we can use our cad programme to design and quantify components for you with a drawing and cost)
